The museum's collection

The wood collection has more than 100 samples of wood species of the Amazon. It is possible to have some species in hand and to feel textures, weight and smell. The aim of the collection is to show the diversity of species present in the Amazon, and to promote the rational use of the forest resource, encouraging young people in the Amazon to preserve these species through reforestation and to guarantee the perpetuity forest for future generations.
